Carey and Andrew

Carey and Andrew were a lot of fun from the get-go, but what I think will stand out more than anything is her gift to him. She painted him a classic portrait of himself and their cat. It was awesome. You just can’t beat something like that. I love getting to see things like this – watching couples do the things they do to put themselves into the day. The painting was the icing on the cake to great wedding through and through.

  Michele - I can watch this video over and over again. Andrew and Carey's wedding was more than magical; it was something much more. For all of you who know me, I am never speechless, but after seeing this video and reliving the wedding, I am speechless!! It was the perfect weekend and the perfect wedding. Love you both!!

Anna and Ralph

There’s nothing like having a big family. Except having two big families, both of whom were just great. Fun-loving, spirited, and kind, every one of them unquestionably helped make the day what it was. It was so nice to be there with Anna and Ralph and their families, and it didn’t hurt having perfect weather. Weather has been a big deal with me this year – I think I’m still recovering from the soggy month of June – but last Saturday was as good as it gets. We got to take a quick jaunt on the High Line for some pictures, then settle in at Pier 60. What a day!

Emily and Dan

So I walk into the room, and the first thing Emily tells me is that I can just hang out for a bit – that I didn’t need to shoot. I mean, how cool was that? Of course, I shot anyway. She was completely relaxed through the entire day, and her and Dan were a perfect match for one another. It was a wedding all about friends, family, and having a good time, and it was great spending the day with them.

Samantha and Bill

The wedding was fantastic, the day was beautiful, and the families were great. What more is there to say? Wave Hill was a perfect backdrop for the pictures, too. Oh, a to top it all off the day ended with a special rehearsed number to Michael Jackson performed just for Bill. Samantha and her girls rocked it!

Erin and Vincent

There were two things I don’t see too often at Erin and Vincent’s wedding. First, it was split up over two days, and second, the ceremony took place at their home. Did I mention how much I like shooting in people’s homes? Hotels always have a great look to them, but nothing beats the place you live in or grew up in for character and personality. Especially having the ceremony there! Lisa Green did the planning for the event, and she did a great job getting everything together and designing the wedding!

Sue and Bernard

Sue has one of those personalities. Warm and kind with a wry exterior – I asked Sue at one point during the photoshoot whether she wanted to be smiling in any more of the shots. The answer was an emphatic “No.” I loved that she said that. She was herself all day long, and it made the day touching, personal, and lots of fun.

It’s always fun to come back to families you’ve worked with before, and having the chance to see the Smiths was fantastic! Jennifer and Jeff were so easy to work with, and both families were a pleasure. There was a real sense of connection among them.
